Torrevieja U3A recently donated two full rolls of VetBed to Finca la Castellana Animal Welfare, a local rescue.
Thank you so much to everyone at Torrevieja U3a for their donation of two rolls of VetBed for our expectant mummy Marble. We really appreciate it. This type of high-quality, specialised bedding is super important for nursing dogs with new born litters.

Another opportunity for the association to help the San Jose childrens Orphanage. A cheque donation towards new plastic chairs for €300, new kitchen appliances and primark vouchers.
Torrevieja u3a hands over a cheque for €200 to Help at Home.
Raising funds for a new defibrillator.

Benijofar Stroke Association.
The association is really pleased to have been able to assist the Benijofar Stroke Association once again. A charity always in our thoughts as many of our members have spent successful recovery time here. The photo shows our assistant membership secretary, Christine handing over the Defribulator to Paul, of the Stroke Association.
San Jose Obrero Orphanage
A fantastic response from our members for Christmas gifts for the children of the San Jose Obrero Orphanage in Elche. Primark vouchers and gifts to make someones Christmas special.
This month I am pleased to say that we, as an association, spent €100 on Christmas gifts for the children. This, along with lots of donations from you, will make a big difference this Christmas. Thank you to everyone who donated and helped.

For November, Torrevieja u3a made its monthly donation to the very worthy charity Easy Horse Care in Benijofar. The centre looks after abandoned animals in the local area and beyond. This donation was to feed the many horses and donkeys at the Easy Horse Care Centre in Rojales.
This is just another charity helped by our association.
For October, Torrevieja u3a made it´s monthly food and dry goods donation to the very worthy charity Finca Villamartin - Happy Animales Spain that looks after abandoned animals in the area. The presentation was made by committee member Les to Mona Nowak who devotes her life to looking after these rescued animals. This donation was to feed the many cats on the farm which are available for adoption.

For the last few months we have been able to provide lots of dry food, toiletries and personal items to local organisations that help out those less fortunate than ourselves.
Helping Hands are just one of those that have benefited. Reach Out, Alimentos Solidarious and Donaciones Torrevieja are a few others that hopefully will benefit.
If you know of any charities that would benefit from the association donation fund then please let me know. These organisations have been and will be very grateful for our help and support and it is your generosity that has helped provide this.
